Each week we will start with basic warming up exercises and then go on to learn a group piece.  There will be opportunity to concentrate on your solo songs, so please bring in the music or chart of a song you would like to work on.  Feedback and advice will be offered with the view to improving your approach and understanding of the music.

We will explore your range and try and develop your repertoire of songs. The others singers will be your audience so this is a good opportunity to work on performance skills and trying out microphone technique.

Overall the idea is to have fun and experience the joy of singing in a friendly and encouraging environment.

There will only be a limited number of places on this workshop. A smaller group such as this will give ample opportunity to develop solo work and will be useful for the novice, the semi-professional and the professional too.

If you are a singer of soul, pop, jazz, funk, blues or similar genres then this workshop is ideal for you.  We will not cover classical, choral  or church pieces during this workshop.

I also aim to start an Open Mic night on a once a month basis and am still in the process of securing the ideal venue for this.  So yet another opportunity to exercise your vocal chords.
